I'm Harold Coleman. I've been a pastor in Airway Heights since March of 2006. I have a passion for helping people to grow and become all that God intends them to be. As a counselor, this often means helping people overcome fears, insecurities, depression, resentments and other difficulties that have held back growth or impacted relationships or careers, but it also means refocusing on strengths, discovering spiritual gifts and God's power within to achieve dreams never before realized.
I have experienced so much grace (unmerited blessings) from God, forgiveness, encouragement, support and direction in my life through my relationship with God and others in the Christian community that I enjoy most of all encouraging others as they find their relationship with God, with others and facing life's difficulties to be opportunities for growth.
For those concerned that a counselor has become a pastor of a Christian church, I should let you know that I received my theological and biblical training at Western Conservative Baptist Seminary. I've worked in ministry in churches over that past 26 years, as a teacher, small group leader, elder and most recently the director of a Christian recovery ministry, among other roles. I believe that the Bible and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ are essential to spiritual and emotional health that will lead to the most fulfilled life possible this side of heaven. No shortcuts via popular psychology here. It still requires getting right with God through His free gift of salvation in His Son Jesus Christ.
