Church is not a building or a worship service. It is by definition a group of believers that come together. At times we come together to worship and receive instruction from the pastor. At other times we would come together to be at the business of Christianity. That is, loving one another, encouraging one another, praying for one another and being a partner with others in the process of becoming mature Christians, reflecting Christ-like character more and more as time goes on.

Our Small Group Ministry offers a place for men and women to come together regularly to help and be helped in living out life as God designed. It's not just another time to be an audience to a teacher or pastor. Each person in the group is an equally important part of the Body of Christ contributing to growing in our faith and service to one another.

We grow through sharing the reality of our lives. That means at times we are struggling and find in the group a chance to be honest about how hard it can be to trust God with our difficulties. Other times we may share an important verse or insight coming from prayer or our life experiences. Bit by bit, struggle or blessing, our open and honest walking side by side with others becomes an important part of each other's growth toward spiritual health.

We don’t call them Bible Studies for a reason. Christianity is about living life together in the way Jesus intended. He said, people will know we are His disciples by our love for one another (John 13:35). Studying the Bible is an important means to growth. Groups may also study a Christian book on a topic important to each other’s life. A group may occasionally go out for dinner or a time of fun. They also may choose to do ministry together. The importance is that there is times to support, encourage, love and bless each other and hopefully the community around us.
